I purchased the Tube Evac to help strip the four drains I had after surgery, and it made such a difference. I honestly wish I had ordered it before my surgery so I could have used it from day one.
When you’re recovering, sore, and dealing with limited mobility, stripping drain tubing by hand with an alcohol swab can be surprisingly difficult and uncomfortable. With four drains, I was doing it multiple times a day, and the Tube Evac made the whole process so much easier.
It was simple to use, worked much better for me than the alcohol-swab method, and made it easier to effectively clear the tubing without struggling with my hands or putting as much strain on myself while I was recovering.
If you know you’ll be going home from surgery with drains, I absolutely recommend having one of these waiting for you. It’s one of those recovery products you don’t realize you need until you’re actually dealing with drains every day. I would 100% purchase it again and recommend it to anyone preparing for surgery with drains. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction on 9/15/26.
